About Me

I am a recent Bachelor of Arts in History graduate from San Diego State University. Before going back to school, I was a bartender and personal trainer, both professions which I loved the fact that interacting with people was an integral part of my job.

During my time at SDSU, I was fortunate to have been under the tutelage of very accomplished and caring History professors. With their guidance and support I was able to graduate cum laude, which enabled me to become a member of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society. I am an "Ally" and board member of the LAMBDA Archives here in San Diego http://www.lambdaarchives.us/

I still bartend occasionally on the weekends, but as of now I am fully committed to student-teaching during the day and attending classes at the University of San Diego in the evenings to attain a Masters in Education. I have earned a CA Teaching Credential (NCLB and BCLAD compliant) with certifications in Social Science and English. I am in the process of completing my Spanish and Physical Education certifications as well.
